We are pleased that you want to learn more about our community. Kindsbach is located in the heart of the Western Palatinate, right on the edge of the Palatinate Forest Nature Park.

The newly designed website of the local municipality, created by Max Lill, gives you a good impression of Kindsbach.

The best thing about Kindsbach is its people, who are actively involved in numerous clubs, providing a wide range of cultural, sporting, and social activities.

The municipality of Kindsbach has around 2,500 residents. Additionally, about 500 American military personnel and their families live in our community.

Besides the active village community, many sights make a visit worthwhile. In the Bärenloch recreational area, a picturesque swimming pond with excellent water quality invites you to swim and relax. An original playground, sunbathing areas, and cozy dining options by the water enhance this attractive excursion destination. Hiking trails around Kindsbach allow for romantic moments, combined with the exploration of natural or historical landmarks. A walk to the Heidenfelsen, an ancient Celtic cult site, and on to Nanstein Castle in Landstuhl is particularly recommended. However, the other trails around Kindsbach, which are located directly on the Pilgrims’ Way of St. James, are also very appealing.

Kindsbach is also well-suited as a starting point or a stopover for pilgrims walking the northern route of the Palatinate Way of St. James.

A Nordic walking trail offers varied routes, and a very interesting mountain biking track leads directly to Kindsbach. A bike path runs along the main road to Landstuhl, just two kilometers away, and a new cycle path connects us to the city of Kaiserslautern.

In terms of infrastructure, Kindsbach is well-equipped. A daycare center and a primary school ensure educational opportunities for the little ones, and all secondary schools can be found in nearby Landstuhl.

In the newly renovated community center, the municipality, in cooperation with the local authority, offers a daily lunch for primary school children and seniors. In addition to a youth center, the building also offers space for private family celebrations.

The new village square is a meeting place for all generations. There are fitness equipment, a football field, water games, and one of the five playgrounds in the immediate vicinity. In addition to the traditional fair and Christmas market, club activities are also held here.

Restaurants and inns provide culinary delights, and a hotel and several vacation apartments offer accommodation options.

A traditional bakery also offers everyday essentials in its range. A hairdresser and a gallery of Erzgebirge craftsmanship complete the retail offerings.

Basic medical care is ensured by a local dentist and a wide range of services available in nearby Landstuhl. A massage practice and other complementary medical services can also be found in Kindsbach.

Not long ago, a new retirement home, “Haus Alexander,” opened its doors in Kindsbach.

A large industrial area on the edge of the village offers various types of employment.

With an S-Bahn connection, Kindsbach is very conveniently located. You can reach the central town of Landstuhl in just two minutes and Kaiserslautern in twelve minutes. Motorway connections towards Saarbrücken or Mannheim are only five minutes away.

As you can see, Kindsbach is very diverse and has a lot to offer.
