Nice that you want to inform yourself about our community. Kindsbach is located in the heart of the Western Palatinate directly in the Palatinate Forest.
The homepage of the local community, newly designed by Max Lill, gives you a good impression of Kindsbach.
The best thing about Kindsbach are the people who are involved in numerous clubs and thus provide a wide range of cultural, sports and social activities.
Unfortunately, numerous dates have fallen victim to the Corona pandemic in recent months. Hopefully, it will soon be possible again for the people of Kindsbach and their welcome guests to meet more carefree.
The community of Kindsbach has about 2500 inhabitants. Besides the active village community, many sights make a visit worthwhile. In the local recreation area Bärenloch, an idyllic bathing pond with excellent water quality invites you to swim and relax. An original children’s playground, sunbathing lawns and a cozy restaurant right by the water complete this attractive destination. Hiking trails around Kindsbach make romantic hours possible, combined with the visit of natural-historical or contemporary-historical sights. A walk to the Heidenfelsen, a Celtic cult site, and on to Nanstein Castle in Landstuhl is particularly recommended. But also the other trails around Kindsbach are very charming, located directly on the Jacob’s Pilgrimage Trail. Kindsbach is also suitable as a starting point or stage destination for walking pilgrims. A Nordic walking trail offers different route profiles and a very interesting mountain bike trail leads directly to Kindsbach. A bike path leads along the country road to Landstuhl, two kilometers away, and a new bike path connects us with Kaiserslautern.
Kindsbach is well equipped in terms of infrastructure. A daycare center and an elementary school provide education for the little ones, and all types of secondary schools can be found in nearby Landstuhl.
In the renovated village community center “Altes Pfarrheim”, the community offers a daily lunch for elementary school children and senior citizens in cooperation with the association community. In addition to a youth club, this village community center also offers rooms for private family celebrations.
The new village square is a meeting place for all generations. There is fitness equipment, a soccer field, water games and one of five children’s playgrounds in the immediate vicinity. In addition to the traditional “Kerwe” and the Christmas market, club activities are also held here.
Restaurants and pubs cater for the physical well-being and a hotel as well as several vacation apartments offer overnight accommodations.
A traditional bakery also provides daily necessities in its assortment. Two flower stores, a hairdresser, a gallery for handicrafts from Thuringia complete the retail offer.
Basic medical care is provided by a dentist on site and a wide range of services in nearby Landstuhl. A massage practice and other complementary medical services can also be found in Kindsbach.
A new retirement home, Haus Alexander, has recently opened its doors in Kindsbach.
A fairly large industrial park offers jobs of various kinds on the outskirts of the village.
With a suburban train connection, Kindsbach is very conveniently located. It takes only two minutes to reach the center of Landstuhl and twelve minutes to Kaiserslautern. Freeway connections in the direction of Saarbrücken or Mannheim are only five minutes away.
As you can see, Kindsbach is very diverse and has a lot to offer.
